Family Navigator (Bilingual/Spanish Speaking) - Intimate Partner Violence Program (IPV)

Seeking a Full-Time (Bilingual/Spanish Speaking) Family Navigator for our IPV-FAIR (Intimate Partner Violence - Family Assessment Intervention Response) Program to serve families in Central Connecticut (Region 6) who are impacted by Intimate Partner Violence.

This position will be a hybrid position as services are provided in the home, community, and office.

Responsibilities:

  • Engages families in the IPV- FAIR service and engage other key participants by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement.
  • Conducts home visits.
  • Implements Circle of Security Parenting curricula with IPV-FAIR parents.
  • Assists families with identifying basic needs.
  • Advocates for the needs identified by the family.
  • Connects families to needed Intimate Partner Violence resources within their own community.
  • Maintains clear, concise, and timely documentation of treatment efforts.
  • Participates in the development of the family service plan for families.
  • Collaborates with all program staff and all relevant systems and key participants within each system to ensure coordinated efforts for optimal outcomes for the family.
  • Assesses, provides, and/or links families/family members to transportation.
  • Attends court and other meetings with family members.
  • Participates in all necessary IPV trainings.
  • Builds and maintains a relationship with community stakeholders (i.e., local IPC/DV providers, DCF, schools, other behavioral health professionals, courts, and police).
  • As requested, will represent CGC and the IPV Program at community activities.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree (BA) in the human services field and/or high school diploma with a least (3) years of extensive experience providing direct services to families with complex needs.

Experience:

Extensive experience providing direct services to families with complex needs.  Ability to work collaboratively on a team, provide culturally competent treatment, and work a variable work schedule to include evenings.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Salary Range:  $42,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year with Sign-On Bonus
